They say that fate weaves her web in mysterious ways... Well, sometimes that is true, and then it becomes very intersting to find out how. Especially in the case of wonderful movies like "Gladiator," who hint at so much back story yet never really say it. What I've chosen to do with this series is to showcase those beginnings - when main characters of the movie meet for the very first times.

The first stories posted all center around Maximus' meetings with the other characters, but if I get enough requests (or ideas) I will do other characters as well. For now, you will be treated to Marcus Aurelius, Lucilla, Commodus, Quintus, and Skelton (the wolf).

Hopefully in the future we will see the meetings between other charcters, such as Lucilla and Quintus, Commodus and Quintus, and any others I can think of. Other authors are more than welcome to make a story in this series, just make sure it's not one I have listed as "coming soon." Of course, I can't claim the idea behind the story; just don't name it "Fateful First Meetings" if I've already got the same thing.
